I have decided to give blogging for money a shot. I have already given blogging for AdSense clicks a try and that's been a bit like mining for gold during the 1849 gold rush....only the guy selling miners tools is getting rich. So I looked around the net for ways to get paid for blogging and after a while of looking around, I came across Smorty.com in blog directory, BlogCatalog.com.

Smorty.com is a service that hooks up bloggers with advertisers in much the same way services like AdBrite.com do. In a nut shell, bloggers looking to get paid to blog, sign up for the service and once their blog site is approved, can sign in to see the latest 'job' opportunities their site gets offered. These opportunities are also emailed to the blogger.

From the advertisers side of things it works much the same. An advertiser looking to advertise on blogs, signs up and is presumably provided a list of qualifying sites. They then choose sites to submit offers too, detailing the specifics of what they expect to see in the post. Being that I am not looking to do blog advertising, I only signed up as a blogger.
