Christmas has become so hyped and commercialized in our society that we often do lose
the meaning and focus of the holiday. With many individuals and businesses struggling right now and
most people looking to cut back on expenditures this year it is a great time to look at the lessons
in ‘The Santa Letters,” and realize that it’s not about the biggest, gaudiest present but the
little things that really make this holiday and life special. Often if we will look through the eyes
of a child, like six year old, McKenna in this story we not only get the real meaning of Christmas
but also see what is really important in life. This book does cover most tragedies that could be
endured, yet offers hope and the Jensen’s do make a family that is easy to pull for.
