An article about Psychologist Philip Zimbardo and his landmark 1971 study dubbed the Stanford Prison Experiment. Fascinating stuff. The experiment gave psychologists great insight into the nature of authority and obedience, as well as giving creedance to the saying "absolute power corrupts absolutely."

The modern implications of these findings: Abu Ghraib and Gitmo.
