I wake in the morning at four AM to the screech of the alarm clock. Shower. Coffee. Then I continue to my studies of which I am diligent to complete daily. In the interim, my lovely wife of five years and mother of my adorable children (One is three and the other is less than two weeks) brings me a multi-vitamin and a hearty breakfast, much unlike one I would be likely to provide for myself. My quiet time is enjoyed with my coffee and then some time in quick conversation, full of joy, with my wife before dragging myself by the ear to the car to begin my journey to the Santa Clarita Valley.
That goes something like this—story of my life so far. Hour to work. Nine hours of work with welcomed interruption of the pleasant chatter of friends. Hour home.
The evening is filled with the joy of my family. As an accomplished musician, I weekly spend time in practice of the art which God has graced me with. This is leading our local church choir or spending time in fellowship with those of similar talent. My tendency is for the guitar, but my spirit lends me the piano and drums or the occasional horn. In my youth I longed for fame and fortune for my art, and where practical (shant I boast), I chose different and wisely; a family.
Recent fortune has brought me to sharing my study with others. For, there is true joy in sharing true wisdom, for life’s sake. Of life, I am at the beginning of her adventure and look forward to the road ahead, albeit less traveled: yet I am blessed. I’m currently in the process of taking a class which is the last (and a mishap of sorts) before I continue on for my degree at a four year university this fall. I choose to look forward to the projects ahead because of the knowledge which can be obtained if sought whole heartedly.
